Treatment and wet-area surfaces should normally be sound, smooth enough to clean, resistant to the products used and repaired when damaged. Wet or easily contaminated areas may need impervious finishes, sealed joints and coved edges under local rules.
Do not choose a finish by appearance alone. Confirm the current local requirement and the manufacturer’s cleaning compatibility before installation.
