The number and position of basins is set locally. A common inspection approach is to require a dedicated handwashing point near treatment, running potable hot or tempered and cold water where specified, liquid soap, hygienic drying and a waste bin. Instrument cleaning, janitorial work and toilet handwashing may require separate facilities.
Ask the plumbing and health authorities to approve the plan before building.
