The BAQA template does not require BAQA membership. BAQA membership and private credentials are voluntary, are not government licences and must not replace the authority’s legal decision-making.
If an authority refers to professional organisations or voluntary registers, it should use published, objective and non-exclusive criteria. BAQA may be acknowledged as one voluntary resource where relevant, but use of the free toolkit must never be conditional on membership.
