BAQA-Certificate Validation

BAQA Student Certificate Accreditation allows approved colleges to issue verifiable, fraud resistant certificates that can be validated instantly by the public, employers, or inspectors using a secure QR code system.

This process protects students, training providers, and the industry as a whole by ensuring certificates are authentic, traceable, and issued only by approved institutions.

Who Can Apply

Only BAQA Corporate Members may apply for college accreditation.

A college must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Hold an active BAQA Corporate Membership
  • Employ at least one BAQA registered Trainer
  • Operate in compliance with BAQA standards and industry best practice

Trainer Requirement

Every accredited college must employ a minimum of one registered BAQA Trainer.

The registered Trainer is responsible for:

  • Delivering or overseeing accredited training
  • Maintaining compliance with BAQA standards
  • Ensuring correct student certification procedures

Additional trainers may be added at any time.

Course Specific Accreditation

Colleges do not receive blanket accreditation.

Instead, a college must apply for each specific course they wish to have accredited.

This ensures:

  • Clear accountability per discipline
  • Accurate public validation of qualifications
  • Industry confidence in course specific standards

Examples include applying separately for Tattoo, Piercing, PMU, SMP, Microblading, or other approved disciplines.

Student Certificate Validation System

Approved colleges may apply for student specific certificate validation.

Once approved, the college will receive:

  • A unique encrypted student validation URL
  • A QR code linked to that URL
  • Secure verification hosted on BAQA systems

This QR code is placed directly on the student’s certificate.

How Student Validation Works

When a QR code is scanned:

  • The user is taken to a secure BAQA validation page
  • The student certificate details are displayed
  • The issuing college and accreditation status are confirmed
  • Certificate authenticity is verified in real time

This system prevents:

  • Fake certificates
  • Altered documents
  • Misrepresentation of qualifications
